Michael Menneking studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen and completed an Executive MBA at the ESMT in Berlin. He joined the former Johann A. Krause Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Bremen in 1999 as a sales and project engineer. In 2006 he was appointed Managing Director of Krause Systemtechnik in Chemnitz and returned to Bremen in 2009 as Head of Transformation Office of thyssenkrupp System Engineering GmbH. From 2011 on he was Vice President Car Body Technology at the Heilbronn site. Between 2014 to 2018 he gained experience abroad as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Shanghai location before returning to Germany in 2018 as Global Head of Operating Unit Powertrain Solutions.

For Automation Engineering, Michael Menneking assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Thomas Schiffner joined thyssenkrupp System Engineering GmbH at the end of 2020. He completed two bachelor's degrees with a focus on Business Administration and Business Information Systems and completed his double master's degree in Business Administration and Business Research. After several commercial positions with automotive suppliers, he held several positions as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the Magna Group. He subsequently moved to LINDE + WIEMANN SE & Co. KG. In 2018, he started his own business as a management consultant with a focus on corporate finance and turnaround management and most recently led the restructuring of various medium-sized companies.

For Automation Engineering, Thomas Schiffner takes on the role of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO).

The Executive Board of thyssenkrupp System Engineering GmbH is composed of Falk Nüßle (Chairman), Felix Bader and Michael Menneking. Until the legal split, this management will continue to bear overall responsibility for thyssenkrupp System Engineering GmbH.
