thyssenkrupp System Engineering opens new plant in Shanghai

Milestone in growth strategy in China – Move from northeast to southeast Shanghai – 250 jobs in body, assembly and test systems and services.

On 11sth Nov. 2015, a brand new plant of thyssenkrupp System Engineering was officially opened at Chuansha, Shanghai.

About eighty guests and over a hundred employees attended the opening ceremony. Mr. Bernd Becker, CEO of thyssenkrupp System Engineering, and Mr. Henrik König, CEO of thyssenkrupp System Engineering (Shanghai), gave the opening speeches.

thyssenkrupp System Engineering came to China in 2006 with a small number of very ambitious people. Through the efforts of these pioneers, the company established the first office & plant at Pudong District of Shanghai. With the continued development and expansion of business in China, the old base could no longer meet the production requirements and accommodate our, currently, over 250 colleagues. The new facility has 12,000m² workshop, 6,000m² office area and all the necessary functions under one roof.
