New toolshop hall and a new training center inaugurated at the Wadern-Lockweiler plant
thyssenkrupp System Engineering has invested about 13 million EUR and creates 50 new jobs.
The demand for high-quality sheet metal forming tools for car bodies rises globally, mainly driven by the increasing variety of car types. thyssenkrupp System Engineering is specialized in outer skin panels made of steel and aluminium, and in system projects for closures. Additional 2100 square meters production floor will enable the company to realize even more orders and larger scopes.
In addition to the new toolshop hall, also a new training center has been built to expand the training capacity and improve the training workshop equipment. From now on, up to 90 apprentices can be trained here, mainly in metalworking and technical product design, but also students of the dual education system in mechanical and electrical engineering. Since 1961, nearly 1200 apprentices and students have successfully completed their vocational training in Lockweiler.
